Module 3:  Friday – Sunday, November 1 – 3, 2024

  • Pre-surgical prosthetic planning and work-up sequence of implant candidates.
  • Treatment planning.
  • Review of current implant modalities – systems, configurations, surface treatments and enhancements.
  • Why are there several implant systems?
  • Biomaterials and biomechanics.

Module 4:  Friday – Sunday, December 6 – 8, 2024

  • Oral and maxillofacial radiology for the implant patient.
  • Diagnostic radiographs – periapical, panoramic radiographs CBCT scans, tomograms.
  • Computerized interpretation of radiographic imaging.

Module 5:  Friday – Sunday, January 10 – 12, 2025

  • Basics of implant surgery.
  • Flap design and wound healing.
  • Demonstration of placement of endosseous implants.

Module 6:  Friday – Sunday, February 7 – 9, 2025

  • Live surgery: Placement of implants by participants under close faculty supervision in the dental school clinic.

Module 7:  Friday – Sunday, March 8 – 10, 2025

  • Definitive restorative phase.
  • Fabrication of provisional prosthesis and providing template for the final restoration.
  • Prosthodontic protocols – pre-surgical, provisional and definitive.

Module 8:  Friday – Sunday, April 25 – 27, 2025

  • Advanced implant surgeries including bone grafting.
  • Fundamentals of sinus graft, symphyseal grafts, ramus grafts
  • Extra oral grafting.
  • Implant periodontics and esthetics.
  • Advanced implantology – immediate loading principles and techniques.

Module 9:  Friday – Sunday, May 2 – 4, 2025

  • Long-term validation of principles and techniques – predictable implant sequencing.
  • Advanced restorative and esthetic strategies in implant dentistry.
  • Computerized approaches to total rehabilitation utilizing CAD/CAM technology and surgical navigation.
  • Identifying failures and managing complications.

Module 10:  Friday – Sunday, May 30 – June 1, 2025

  • Pathophysiology of implant failures – mechanical, biological, chemical and surgical.
  • Presenting cases and patient management in implant dentistry: marketing the implant practice.
  • Medico-legal considerations.
  • Preparation for the Associate Fellow/Fellow exams of the AAID.
