This course will provide you with a solid working knowledge of the anatomy and neurophysiology of the head and neck, pharmacology of Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers along with approved cosmetic uses. We will demonstrate how to carefully select appropriate patients, obtain informed consent, produce acceptable results, and avoid complications.

DAY 1

• Head and neck anatomy & anatomy of the aging face.
• Structure and function of the skin.
• Photo-documentation requirements.
• Psychology of the cosmetic patient.
• Patient selection and informed consent for Botox.
• Pharmacology of botulinum toxin.
• Botox and Dysport differences.
• The preparation, handling, and storage of Botox.
• Topical Anesthetics.
• Injection techniques.
• Management of the complications of Botox.

• Patient selection and informed consent for dermal fillers.
• Pharmacology of dermal fillers.
• Local anesthetic blocks and pain control.
• Dermal filler selection.
• Administration of dermal fillers and advanced injection techniques.
• Management of complications with dermal fillers.
